taliban in scotland

November 17, 2007

a Taliban fighter, Muhammad Hanif Hanifi, is in scotland, living happy life in glasgow. he is on public benefit and enjoys normal life. he is talking of brutal fleeing from taliban. assuming that its true, wouldn’t it mean that taliban continue to be Talib and once they can’t be they can run away and find a life in scotland.
Hanifi claims he only realised the extent of the Taliban’s cruelty when he witnessed atrocities first-hand, including the beheading of a teenage boy.
The 33-year-old, who is seeking asylum in Scotland despite taking up arms against Scots troops in Afghanistan last year, described how he was “brainwashed” into fighting for the Taliban.
